Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

The Sales Engineer responsibilities are focused on supporting the ARCOS sales team from a product and technical perspective. The Sales Engineer is responsible for building strong relationships with prospects and ARCOS customers encouraging new and repeat business opportunities. 

Candidates must be located in the Southeast, near a major airport. Candidates in the Midwest may also be considered. Candidates on the West Coast will not be considered.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Drive and adhere to the ARCOS Sales Process.
  • Prepare software demonstrations and associated presentations for prospect demos and seminars that illustrate ARCOS’ ability to enhance customer and prospects business operations.
  • Present ARCOS’ technical architecture and hosting capabilities as it relates to the customer’s and prospect’s environment and technical requirements.
  • Participate in pre-demo calls with prospects to better understand existing business processes and pain points.
  • Participate in the RFI/RFP/RFQ process by identifying and creating answers that provide value and benefits to prospects while coordinating with sales, implementation and the technical team.
  • Assist with proposal preparation as needed from a technical nature to assist with business cases & utilization of the ARCOS solutions.
  • Set appropriate expectations during the sales cycle to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Understand ARCOS and competitive solutions and business applications within ARCOS’ market; effectively address and dispel customer objections to ARCOS solutions.
  • Conducts research, answers questions, and removes objections that may arise during a sales campaign.
  • Manage the maintenance of the software demonstration environments for software upgrades, new functionality, integration, etc.
  • Assist, as needed, in the analysis, design and development of fully integrated technology solutions.
  • Develop relationships with the sales team, partners and customers in support of sales team objectives. Engage and leverage corporate resources, abilities, budgets and personnel as appropriate.
  • Completes required pre-sales documentation quickly and accurately.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS, REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS

  • Previous experience working with software applications or in a related IT environment. A minimum of five (5) years’ prior experience providing software demonstrations is preferred.
  • Previous experience working directly with customers required.
  • Candidates that have experience with and an understanding of large B2B SaaS enterprise or enterprise applications such as Work Management, HRMS, ERP and Field Workforce Automation will be considered as a priority over those that do not.
  • Successful experience solution selling in an IT and business environment is preferred.
  • Understanding of Oracle and/or Microsoft SQL Server databases is preferred.
  • General understanding of one or more programming languages: HTML, Java/JavaScript, J2EE, Web Services.
  • Must be comfortable and able to intelligently interact with executives at the highest level, including “C” level executives, in large corporations.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong organizational skills, as well as the ability to meet deadlines and follow instructions.
  • Excellent communication skills, presentation skills, strong grammar and spelling abilities.
  • Professional demeanor and team player.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%, including domestic and international. Ability to travel by air is mandatory. Must possess a valid driver’s license and possess or be able to acquire a valid United States passport.

Compensation

OTE is between $175k - $225k (70/30 split plan).
