At ARCOS we are making a difference in the lives of local communities every day, especially during emergencies such as weather (storms) and rebuilding the old infrastructure of utilities in the United States.

ARCOS is the leader in delivering SaaS solutions for managing resources, ensuring accurate, compliant shift scheduling and automatic planning for all types of events. The ARCOS solution reports on the up to-the-minute location and status of equipment and crews via mobile workforce management technology for utilities and other critical infrastructure, like airlines, manufacturers, and industrial facilities. The ARCOS platform helps organizations save time and money, while improving customer satisfaction and the efficiency, safety, and accuracy of operations.

Job Description

About the job

As a Product Experience Designer, you will focus on crafting visually compelling and consistent user experiences that empower frontline workers, operations teams, and back-office operators. You'll design intuitive, user-centered interfaces that help organizations manage critical workflows with precision and confidence. Working closely with UX strategy, product managers and developers, you'll refine designs and validate them through usability research to ensure they meet real-world needs. As an early contributor to our design system, you'll have the unique opportunity to influence our design foundations and help establish scalable patterns that will shape our product for years to come.

You'll need to be self-directed, proactive, and confident in making design decisions that prioritize user needs with complex business requirements. Critical thinking and problem solving are vital to success in this role. If you thrive in solving intricate design challenges, testing ideas with real users, and pushing for the best experience over the easiest solution—this is the role for you.

What you’ll do:

  • Translate and harmonize research to wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI, you'll be hands-on every step of the way.
  • Challenge assumptions and push for solutions that prioritize user needs over convenience.
  • Collaborate with the UX and Technology teams to define core components, patterns, and guidelines as we establish our design foundations.
  • Test, iterate, refine – Work in rapid cycles, validating ideas with real users.
  • Build high-fidelity interactive prototypes, either within Figma or utilizing industry AI build tools, to validate interactions and flows.
  • Develop intuitive user flows and responsive design solutions.
  • Document design decisions and contribute to team-wide design guidelines.
  • Help establish design patterns that can scale across products while maintaining consistency with our emerging design system.

What you bring

  • 3+ years of experience in UX/UI/Product Design, preferably with B2B and SaaS products.

  • Self-motivation & autonomy – You thrive in taking initiative to move projects forward.

  • Critical thinking and courage – You're comfortable questioning decisions and advocating for the best possible user experience. You are comfortable with learning and growing from failures.

  • Strong proficiency in Figma, including creating and structuring component libraries, managing variables, and building scalable design systems.

  • Experience with complex workflows – You can simplify intricate processes into intuitive, user-friendly designs.

  • A research-driven mindset – You know how to analyze user insights and translate them into actionable solutions.

  • Experience testing with real users – You believe in designing with data from usability testing, A/B experiments, or field studies.

  • Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS and awareness of front-end technical constraints.

  • Strong portfolio showcasing deep design thinking, problem solving, UI design skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to balance systematic thinking with practical implementation – you understand when to create new components versus when to leverage existing ones.
